WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representative Suhas Subramanyam (VA-10), a member of the House Ethics Committee, has introduced a House Rules Committee amendment to strip a government funding bill provision that would allow eight Republican U.S. Senators to claim at least $500,000 in taxpayer money over phone record collections during Jan. 6th investigation. This provision would also limit the federal government’s ability to defend itself against such claims.
