Tours and Tickets
All tickets are provided to constituents on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the large number of visitors, please request them as early as possible in order to maximize your chances.
The following are policies determined by the White House for those requesting tours through Congressional Offices:
- Tours must be requested at least three weeks in advance.
- Tours are only available Tuesday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Fridays and Saturdays 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
If you are submitting a request for a Christmas tour of the White House, please note that we have reached the small booking capacity we have been allocated by the White House and, unfortunately, cannot accommodate your request. For tours in January and beyond, please submit your request. Although the White House has yet to clarify how and if it plans to resume tours for January 2026 and beyond, we will update you once we have more information.
Federal government funding expired at midnight on September 30, 2025. As new appropriations were not enacted before that time, many federal government operations are suspended until funding is restored. As a result, tours of the U.S. Capitol are suspended during the government shutdown. If you wish to put in a request for later dates, we will receive your request and attend to it once it is possible to do so. We will update this website when the guidance changes. Thank you for your understanding.
