“This House Republican shutdown should never have happened. This vote was long overdue, and what we passed today should have been passed when my colleagues and I proposed it months ago.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Suhas Subramanyam’s (VA-10) bill, the Firefighter Trevor Brown Post Office Building Act (H.R. 5058)has passed the House unanimously. It will rename the post office on Westlake Drive in Sterling, Virginia after Firefighter Trevor Brown, a volunteer firefighter at the Sterling Volunteer Fire Company who lost his life in the line of duty while responding to an emergency gas leak call in 2024.

LEESBURG, VA – U.S. Representative Suhas Subramanyam (VA-10) has announced that his office has returned $6.3 million in federal benefits to constituents in Northern Virginia. The Congressman’s staff have also helped almost 4,000 residents successfully cut through the red tape at federal agencies to receive benefits, tax returns, immigration paperwork, and passports.
