Washington, DC – Congressman Suhas Subramanyam (D-VA-10) has re-introduced the No Funds for Forced Labor Act (H.R. 7516), a bipartisan, bicameral bill to prevent the ability for international financial institutions (IFIs) from providing support to any projects that risk using forced labor.

WASHINGTON, DC – The House Committee on Oversight sent two of Congressman Suhas Subramanyam (VA-10)’s bipartisan bills to the House floor after a bipartisan vote in the committee. One of the bills is the Federal Acquisition Security Council (FASC) Improvement Act (H.R. 7274), which would strengthen the FASC and make sure it has the necessary support and resources to carry out its mission.

"My thoughts are with the Mississippi Jewish community after an outrageous arson attack on Beth Israel Congregation. This 160-year old historic synagogue was once bombed by the KKK for fighting for civil rights, and is the largest synagogue in Mississippi.

This latest attack is part of a concerning increase in antisemitism in the last few years. This hatred has no place in our country. Our community stands with the Jewish community in Mississippi and around the country against antisemitism.
