WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representative Suhas Subramanyam (VA-10) released a statement following the ROTOR Act vote in the House. While it passed the Senate unanimously, the bill failed to get the necessary two-thirds majority needed for a suspension bill, failing by one vote. The bill was supported by the families of the victims of the Jan. 29, 2025 crash at DCA between American Airlines Flight 5342 and a military helicopter, which killed 67 people.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Representatives Suhas Subramanyam (VA-10) and Jamie Raskin (MD-08) announced Sky and Amanda Roberts as their guests to President Donald Trump’s February 24 State of the Union Address. Sky and Amanda are the brother and sister-in-law, respectively, of the late Virginia Roberts Giuffre, a survivor of Jeffrey Epstein’s international trafficking ring. Ms. Roberts Giuffre was instrumental in bringing Epstein’s crimes to light and inspiring fellow survivors to speak out.

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representative Suhas Subramanyam (VA-10) and U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) led a bicameral effort to pressure the Trump administration to provide a clear, categorical exemption for adopted children that would allow international adoptions to continue. Earlier this year, the administration announced that visa issuances would be paused for applications from 75 countries, claiming without evidence, that immigrants are a financial burden on Americans.
