Rep. Subramanyam Statement on the Arrest of Peter Mandelson
WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representative Suhas Subramanyam (VA-10), Ranking Member of the Military and Foreign Affairs Oversight Subcommittee, released the following statement after news of Peter Mandelson’s arrest:
“Today’s arrest of Peter Mandelson is another step towards justice for Epstein survivors. I’ve asked him to come before the Oversight Committee and that offer still stands.
We’re starting to see movement from our Oversight investigation. Unfortunately, most of the accountability is happening outside of the U.S., with a former Prince and now a former ambassador arrested in the UK in just the last week. We cannot complete a full investigation without the DOJ following the law and releasing all of the files.”
Ranking Member Subramanyam and Oversight Committee Ranking Member Robert Garcia called on Lord Peter Mandelson to submit to questioning related to the Oversight Committee’s ongoing investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. They made a similar request to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in November.
