Congressman Suhas Subramanyam Secures Nearly $17 Million in Funding for Critical Projects in Virginia in Government Funding Legislation
Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Suhas Subramanyam (VA-10) announced that he has secured $16,793,968 in funding for 15 projects across Virginia’s 10th Congressional District in House spending bills. Working with localities, nonprofits, and other community partners, the Congressman made these requests through the congressional appropriations process to respond to urgent and critical needs of the region.
“The funding I secured has a high return on investment and will improve our community in a number of ways. It includes improving road safety, making housing more attainable, making pedestrian walkways safer, and developing our workforce,” said Congressman Subramanyam. “These projects are just the beginning of work we need to do to support our community at a time when policies in Washington are undermining our region.
