Congressman Suhas Subramanyam Announces Over $2 Million in Critical Infrastructure Funding for Regional Airports

July 10, 2025

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Subramanyam announced over $2 million in federal funding for local airports, including $1,035,500 for taxiway reconstruction at Leesburg Executive Airport and $1,019,868 forrunway rehabilitation at Manassas Regional Airport.

“Leesburg Executive and Manassas Regional Airports are critical parts of our local economy, supporting jobs, innovation, investment, and connectivity,” Congressman Subramanyam said. “I was proud to support these projects because they will improve air safety and boost our regional economy at a time when air safety has become a major issue.”

The funding, provided by the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program, will improve the efficiency and the safety of both regional airports. These investments are a result of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which has provided hundreds of millions of dollars in funding for airports across the region, including over $100 million to support the construction of a new terminal at Dulles International Airport, also located in Congressman Subramanyam’s district.
